The spring grand performance by geiko and maiko who have honed their skills in Kyoto's largest hanamachi, Gion Koubu, will open on Friday, April 1, 2022. Due to the new Corona, this will be the first time in three years and the first time in 2022 for the festival to be held in Wa. The festival will begin with the well-known call of "yoiya sah," followed by a spectacular dance performance representing the changing of the four seasons. The finale, performed by all the performers amidst the blooming cherry blossoms, is a spectacular sight to behold.
