The "Tsukuru Forest: Arts, Crafts, and World Music Festival 2023" will be held in the satoyama of Keihoku, Kyoto, on October 28 (Sat.) and 29 (Sun.), 2023.
The main event, the World Music Concert, will bring together multinational instruments and artists from all over the world, from Bulgarian gadulka to Arabic koto khanoon, to showcase the appeal of traditional music. Other performances include the Tamba Ondo, dances from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, and songs of indigenous South Americans. In addition, there will be workshops on musical instruments made from natural materials, and gourmet food using regional ingredients, including local dishes from countries such as Romania, Mexico, and India.
