Tofukuji Temple

Tofukuji Temple, the head temple of the Tofukuji School of the Rinzai Sect of Zen Buddhism, is also known for its beautiful autumn foliage and magnificent temple buildings.
11月中旬～下旬にかけて、見事な紅葉が望める。2025年11月19日（水）～12月7日（日）の間、境内の渓谷に流れる一筋の川「洗玉澗（せんぎょくかん）」に架かる、通天橋（つうてんきょう）の紅葉ライトアップが開催される。“雲海のように広がる紅葉”と称されるほど、折り重なるような紅葉の様子を楽しめる。
