In July 2022, Cafe Gion Madonna will open in the Gions district, based on the concept of "a high-quality adult café/gallery where Kyoto-style sweetness and traditional Japanese art are woven together.
The interior of the restaurant has been carefully designed down to the smallest detail, with lighting using the traditional Japanese technique of kumiko and fixtures made by a long-established Fukuoka furniture manufacturer with a 400-year history. The walls are decorated with paintings and sculptures, making it look like a modern art museum.
