Baikal, a popular confectionery store in Kyoto, and Chikayo Kawahara, a popular radio DJ on α-STATION (FM Kyoto), have collaborated to create a new type of sweet, Mitarapple Pie, which is now available for a limited time. With the keyword "amajo pie" (sweet dumpling), a novel proposal was born to combine Baikal's signature confectionary, apple pie, with Mitarashi dango. The pie is baked with a fluffy mochi (rice cake) nestled inside and topped with a special Mitarashi red bean paste, creating an apple pie unlike any other.
