In his greeting, when asked by the host how this work came about, Morimi explained, "I have often worked with Ueda-san on adapting my original stories into anime scripts, and I asked him if he would like me to try my hand at adapting one of his plays into a novel, so I decided to use the characters from "Shijohan Mythos Taikei". I asked Ueda-san to let me try my hand at adapting his stage play into a novel, and that's how it all started.

Mr. Ueda said, "I wrote the original "Summertime Machine Blues" and "Shijo Han Mythology Taikaikei" was also a work that I immersed myself in and wrote the script for at one point, so it was a very smooth script adaptation. I should have made it a story of hard work, but it really came together quickly," he said, eliciting laughter from the other speakers.

Director Natsume also confessed that he, like Mr. Ueda, enjoyed the work, saying, "I was able to get into it easily, or rather, the framework of the story was solid, and the characters were steadfast and clear from "Yonjohan," so I was able to work straight through without difficulty, and I had fun the whole time.

Mr. Asanuma and Mr. Nakamura have been working together since the "Shijohan Mythology Taikei" anime 12 years ago. Mr. Nakamura commented, "I was very happy to be able to meet Asanuma-san one more time and have him voice a character I created. Mr. Asanuma said, "I feel like I should be the one to talk about the hardships I went through." The audience laughed, and he continued, "I was almost crushed by the pressure of not letting down the many people who love the film. After all, I don't want people to think that Asanuma, who has aged 12 years, can't help it. But this time, I was told that I could speak this way because I would explain carefully, so it may have seemed a little slow, but that's the reason why I did it," he said.

Morimi also commented on this year's work, "When I write, I can no longer recreate the world of "Shijohan Mythology Taikaikei". Just as it would be difficult for Mr. Asanuma to play the same role he played more than 10 years ago, I cannot recreate the world I wrote when I was a graduate student, so I gave up on that from the beginning. I was not going to force myself to make the play "Summertime Machine Blues" into a novel, so I didn't want to make it too close to the original "Yotatami Hanten. The original "Shijaban" was a work in which most of the events took place in the mind of the main character, and I think that was one of its strengths, but this time, the characters are moving and the story is moving outside of the main character's mind.

Mr. Asanuma said, "For me, 'I' is a character that I have strong feelings for, so I didn't want her to grow up. I wanted 'me' to remain as 'me,' foolish, barren to the end, unable to say anything to the black-haired maiden and blaming someone else for her life. The audience laughed again.

Ms. Natsume commented that she felt a real sense of making something good, saying, "I felt that 'I' was a big character in Mr. Asanuma's mind, but I also felt that I was making something when I was interacting with Mr. Asanuma. He concluded, "I think this movie is perfect for the end of summer, and I would be happy if everyone could watch it one more time.

The audience laughed again when Mr. Ueda said, "I also saw a very interesting play," promoting "The Golem Who Was So Kind to Me" by Europe Kikaku, which is currently touring throughout Japan.
