琵琶湖博物館企画展示室

2026年7月18日（土）〜11月23日（月・祝）の期間、［滋賀県立琵琶湖博物館］（滋賀県草津市）で、『博物館はタイムマシン－魚類学者がみた琵琶湖－』が開催される。
江戸時代から現代までに集められた標本や資料を通して、琵琶湖の生き物や環境の変化をたどる企画展だ。展示では、ドイツ人医師・博物学者のシーボルトが滋賀県で購入したと伝わる特別天然記念物・トキの剥製をはじめ、海外で保管されていた標本や国内初公開となる貴重な標本などが登場。日本のみならず海外でも盛んに研究が行われてきた琵琶湖の知られざる世界を覗ける注目の内容となっている。この夏は、タイムスリップした気分で貴重な展示を巡ってみて。
