On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the very popular "Fushimi Sake Festival in Otesuji Shopping Arcade 2025" will be held at Fushimi Otesuji Shopping Arcade in Fushimi, Kyoto, one of the three major sake breweries in Japan.
This year again, local sake breweries in Fushimi will set up special booths to serve sake, and there will also be a variety of food offerings, including special stalls set up by stores in the shopping arcade and popular restaurants in the neighborhood. This is a great opportunity to taste the new sake that is made at this time of year, and to enjoy it in addition to interacting with the breweries. Experience the vibrant sake industry today, as traditional sake brewing has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
