The [Tsukuru Building], an atelier complex in Gojo, is home to a diverse range of artists and creators across all genres. Located on the second floor of this renovated four-story building—which is 50 years old—[MARUNI CAFE] (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) offers a serene atmosphere where the warmth of wooden tables blends harmoniously with dried flowers and driftwood. Here, you can enjoy one-plate lunches and slightly indulgent desserts.
In addition to their popular taiyaki, during the summer months (May through September), they also offer shaved ice desserts packed with real fruit, such as strawberry milk shiratama and mango milk shiratama. Among these, the shaved ice made with plenty of juicy peaches is especially popular, with many fans eagerly anticipating it every year.
