[Kare TO Obanzai], where you can enjoy spice curry and obanzai starting at 8 a.m., has opened in Imadegawa

A new restaurant called [Kare TO Obanzai] (Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), produced by Kyoto’s renowned spice curry restaurants [SPICE GATE] and [INDIA GATE], has opened near the [Kyoto Imperial Park].
The highlight is the “Curry & Obanzai Set,” which lets you enjoy obanzai made with seasonal ingredients and spices in a buffet-style setting. The obanzai selection changes daily, with at least eight varieties always available, so you can choose freely based on your mood that day.
From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the “Curry & Obanzai Plate”—featuring curry served with a selection of obanzai—is available, making it perfect for breakfast or brunch.

The “Curry and Obanzai Set,” available starting at 10:00 a.m., is 1,980 yen. It includes your choice of curry and all-you-can-eat obanzai for a truly satisfying meal.

In addition to three classic varieties of our signature spice curry—such as chicken curry—we also feature a monthly rotating menu. We use basmati rice cooked with Kyoto tea. Its small grains and light, fluffy texture prevent it from absorbing too much of the curry’s moisture, making it a perfect match for the spice curry. The two flavors complement each other, creating a harmonious and delicious experience.

In addition to the meals, the restaurant’s original carrot cake—baked at [Hibi Kashi], which has its workshop in Shimizu Gojo—is also a highly recommended treat. It’s gluten-free and gentle on the body, offering a perfectly balanced blend of subtle spice and gentle sweetness.
