From Monday, October 19, 2026, through Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday), the all-day dining restaurant “Teori” on the 1st floor of the [Hilton Kyoto] (Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) will host an autumn dessert buffet titled “Halloween Chocolate Lover Forest ~Halloween Chocola~” to get you in the Halloween spirit. With a “Chocolate Forest” theme, French Executive Pastry Chef Guillaume Bonafus will create a variety of special Halloween-themed sweets using an abundance of chocolate from the long-established French chocolatier [Valrhona]. We’d like to introduce this dessert buffet that will make Halloween even more fun, featuring a live station where each dish is carefully prepared right before your eyes, as well as savory items that evoke the spirit of fall.
The fall dessert buffet “Chocolate Lover Forest ~Chocola~,” featuring a generous use of chocolate from the long-established French chocolatier [Valrhona], which has been running at the store since Friday, September 11, 2026, will be relaunched with a new theme as “Halloween Chocolate Lover Forest” starting Monday, October 19. While enjoying the rich aroma and full-bodied flavor of cacao, guests can fully immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit with these playfully designed sweets.
The Halloween-themed dessert buffet is based on the concept of a “Chocolate Forest,” and you can feel the Halloween spirit not only in its appearance but also in its names. For example, the “Cursed Stump”—inspired by a stump said to be haunted by a curse—exudes a mysterious atmosphere, as if a black butterfly had just alighted upon it. As you take a bite, wondering what kind of cake it might be based on its appearance and name, you’ll discover a coffee-flavored cake with the mellow sweetness of milk chocolate and the rich aroma of coffee—a delightful contrast that’s sure to excite you.
The “Magical Pumpkin Mousse,” with its cute appearance, is a dish with a rich, complex flavor: gianduja latte chocolate—which carries the flavors of roasted hazelnuts and almonds—is combined with miso and caramel, then enveloped in white chocolate with a gentle sweetness. The “Raspberry Chocolate Mousse with Blueberries, Dyed in the Dark of Night,” with its intriguing, mysterious hue, features fresh blueberries hidden within a raspberry chocolate mousse, creating a dessert where the sweet-and-tart flavor of the berries really stands out.
Also, at the Live Station—where you can fully savor the unique flavors of freshly made treats—don’t miss the “6 Varieties of Chocolate Mousse,” which lets you customize your dessert with a wide selection of toppings, or the “Monaka Chocolate Ice Cream,” featuring rich ice cream served on a fragrant monaka wafer.
At this buffet, you can also enjoy savory dishes that pair dark chocolate with the flavors of fall. In addition to the “Dark Chocolate & White Miso Fondue”—where you dip autumn vegetables and roasted chestnuts into a fondue made with dark chocolate, white miso, dashi. In addition to the “Dark Chocolate & White Miso Fondue,” where you dip these ingredients into the fondue, the buffet features a curry made by slowly simmering dark chocolate with pumpkin and coconut milk, as well as a hearty dish of short pasta with pumpkin and pancetta, topped with a dark chocolate and Parmesan cheese fondue. It’s a nice touch that, even though it’s a dessert buffet, there are also meal options that will fill you up.
This buffet, where you can enjoy a wide variety of chocolate desserts along with the excitement of Halloween, is recommended not only for chocolate lovers but also for anyone who wants to get into the Halloween spirit in a relaxed atmosphere. Be sure to stop by the dessert buffet at the [Hilton Kyoto], where you’ll feel as if you’re attending a Halloween party.
