[Now Accepting Entries] Submit Your Photos and Win Great Prizes! "Shinpukan Photo Contest 2026"

The “Shinpukan Photo Contest 2026” is currently being held at the Shinpukan complex in Karasuma-Oike, Kyoto (Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).
“Under the theme ”Take Photos, Shop at Shinpukan,” the event is accepting submissions in two categories: the “Take Photos” category, which captures Shinpukan itself—including its striking brick and timber architecture and the greenery of its courtyard—and the “Shop” category, which features photos of items purchased inside the building, dishes enjoyed, and experiences had there.
Entries are accepted not only for photos taken with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, but also for those taken with smartphones. There are no restrictions on the equipment used, and previously taken photos are also eligible, so anyone who has a favorite photo taken at [Shinpukan] in the past is welcome to participate.
Winners will receive luxurious prizes, including a stay at the Ace Hotel Kyoto—located within Shinpukan—and Shinpukan shopping vouchers. We invite you to capture the charm of Shinpukan through your own unique perspective—not only the beauty of its architecture and spaces, but also the moments you spent there and the things you encountered—and submit your photos.
