Starting Friday, October 2, 2026, the mystery-solving game “Naruse Walks the Mysterious Path”—a collaboration between the “Naruse Is Going to Conquer the World” novel series, set in Otsu City, and the [Lake Biwa Canal]—will begin. This is an experiential game event where participants purchase a special mystery-solving kit—which includes a booklet and various items—and visit the actual locations to solve puzzles based on information found throughout the area. This time, the event takes the form of a tour that covers three areas—Otsu, Yamashina, and Keage—which lie along the route of the “Lake Biwa Canal Boat.”
In addition to including two promotional items (two types of social media-style clear cards), the participation kit also allows you to enter a drawing for a prize (an original leather book cover) once for every course you complete.
Characters from the Naruse series appear in the puzzle games, so give them a try while enjoying the game’s world and the scenery along the canal.
