The "National Umeshu Festival in Kyoto 2023" will be held at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto in the autumn. At this very popular event, visitors can compare their favorite brands of plum wine from more than 150 varieties produced by sake breweries throughout Japan, and purchase their favorite plum wine.
In addition, the event is packed with activities, including paid tastings and a raffle for the rare “Dassai Umeshu,” innovative umeshu-based drinks such as umeshu beer and umeshu coffee, and collaborations with Kyoto’s food culture.
Enjoy a variety of sake breweries' creative plum liquors, such as sake-infused plum wine, brandy-infused plum wine, citrus plum wine with kabosu and yuzu, plum wine with mango, peach, and apple, and plum wine with black tea and green tea.
