From Saturday, September 19, 2026, through Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (a national holiday), the “Kyoto Gyoza Grand Festival 2026: Fall” and the “Kyoto Craft Grand Festival” will be held simultaneously at [Umekoji Park] (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).
At the “Kyoto Gyoza Grand Festival 2026: Fall,” which brings together a variety of unique gyoza from all over the country, you’ll find a diverse lineup of flavors—from classic juicy meat gyoza to creative varieties featuring local ingredients. There’s also a wide selection of à la carte items and sweets, including long-cut fries, ice cream, and fruit candies. Kyoto craft beers will also be available, so be sure to enjoy pairing them with the gyoza.
Meanwhile, as part of the “Kyoto Crafting Grand Campaign,” an interactive collaboration project with the world-renowned animation studio “dwarf” will be held. A special five-day workshop and screening series centered on the theme of “Creating Animation” will take place. In addition, there will be a lineup of special programs where participants can delve deeper into the joy of creative making, including making zoetropes (rotating peep shows) and experiencing stop-motion animation production.
