On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the “Uji Tea and Yamashiro Gourmet Festival” will be held at [Joyo Gori Gori no Oka (Prefectural Kizugawa Sports Park)] (Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture).
This event brings together the diverse culinary offerings of the Yamashiro region—known as “Kyoto of Tea”—under one roof. The venue features the “Gourmet Area,” lined with gourmet dishes and sweets made with local ingredients such as Uji tea and Kyoto vegetables; the “Uji Tea Area,” where visitors can fully experience the charm of Uji tea; and the “Yamashiro Specialty Products” section, which sells agricultural produce, processed goods, and Uji tea-related items from the Yamashiro region.
In addition, there will be an “Information Area” where sponsoring companies and local governments in the Yamashiro region will showcase the area’s attractions, as well as a “Fun Area” where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities and more. On stage, 13 groups will perform dances, music, and other acts to liven up the venue.
A day to fully enjoy all the charms of the Yamashiro region—through food, experiences, and fun. Come with your family and friends to discover the unique “delicacies” and attractions that only Yamashiro has to offer.
