On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the “Kyoto: City of Buses Festival” will be held, featuring a large gathering of public buses that run throughout the city of Kyoto. In addition to an exhibition of specially wrapped buses, there will be plenty of activities for both children and adults to enjoy, including a departure ceremony to see the buses off as they set out one after another from the streets of Kyoto, as well as opportunities to sit in the driver’s seat and take commemorative photos! A career counseling session for those aspiring to become bus drivers will also be held. Don’t miss this chance to see Kyoto’s buses all gathered in one place—be sure to stop by!
