From Saturday, October 3, 2026, to Sunday, December 6, 2026, the exhibition “Zen and Ghibli: Kyoto Exhibition,” organized and produced by Studio Ghibli, will be held at the [Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art, New Wing: Higashiyama Cube] (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).
This exhibition was conceived based on the book *Zen and Ghibli*, which compiles a dialogue between Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki and a Zen monk. The exhibition area, centered on the world of director Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film, *How Do You Live?*, features famous lines and stills from Ghibli films, as well as Zen paintings and calligraphy in Suzuki’s own hand. It is a unique, interactive exhibition that allows visitors to experience a Zen-inspired “perspective” through Ghibli’s works.
In Kyoto, where Zen temples and Zen culture remain a living part of everyday life, come experience a moment of Zen alongside Studio Ghibli.
