The “49th Kiyomizu-yaki no Sato Festival” will be held for three days, from Friday, October 17, to Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the Kiyomizu-yaki Industrial Park area (Yamashina Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).
Held every October, this is one of Kyoto’s largest pottery fairs. Ahead of its 50th anniversary next year, this year’s event features a record-high 114 pottery booths. The lineup is even more extensive than usual, featuring the “T1 Grand Prix”—a competition showcasing craftsmanship—24 carefully selected food and beverage booths, and 12 craft booths making their debut. From master artisans carrying on traditional techniques to up-and-coming young artists, this is a great opportunity to interact directly with a diverse range of creators—be sure to stop by.
