On Sunday, May 11, 2025, the “MALT FES” event—featuring craft beer and malt residue-based foods—will be held at “O-Higashi-san Plaza” in front of [Higashi Hongan-ji Temple]. In addition to 10 craft breweries from Kyoto Prefecture, breweries from Osaka and Tochigi will also participate. Enjoy craft beer alongside special dishes made with spent grain by popular restaurants in Kyoto City.

The “Kyoto After Bath Craft Beer Evefestival 2025” standing bar event will be held from Friday, April 25, 2025, to Friday, May 2, 2025, at [Kotchika Plaza] (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), which is directly connected to Kyoto Station. Sixteen breweries from 11 locations across Japan will gather to offer a diverse selection of craft beers in a standing-bar style. The venue will also feature stalls selling hot dogs, burgers, craft popcorn, and specialty craft rice crackers.

From Friday, May 2, 2025, through Tuesday, May 6, 2025 (a national holiday), the “FOOD HALL Sake FESTA” will be held at [Kyoto Tower Sand]. Eleven sake breweries from Kyoto will take turns appearing at the [FOOD HALL] on the B1F, where visitors can enjoy tasting comparisons and food pairings. Sake sets curated by [Masuya Sake Shop] and [Kaidashi Soba Gion] will also be available. In addition, there will be a wealth of events offering a glimpse into sake culture, including DJ performances, talk shows with rakugo storytellers, a scratch-and-win campaign, and a photo exhibition.

In addition to attractions and hands-on activities for children, the “Kyoto Gyoza Grand Operation 2025” will be held concurrently, featuring a gathering of unique gyoza varieties from across the country. In addition to gyoza, there will be an extensive lineup of exquisite street food, including Matsusaka beef skewers, yakisoba, and shaved ice with warabi mochi, offering plenty of activities to enjoy throughout the day.
